Christmas Card Project
|
While charity
Christmas cards are not everyone's 'cup of tea', it occurred to me
that St. Christopher's Cathedral was missing an opportunity.
If everyone else was doing it, why shouldn't we? The upshot: two cross-stitch designs - one a star and the other lanterns - were printed as small Christmas cards with an appropriate greeting. Five cards with matching envelopes cost BD.1 per pack, attractive to most budgets. An added attraction: if the envelope was unsealed and had no enclosures other than the card the airmail postage from Bahrain to Europe was 110 fils (less than second class post in the UK). Final returns are still due, but the estimated income is circa BD.200 meaning that almost 1,000 cards were sole. For those who supported the project, thank you.
