Christmas - Busy?

The Christmas season can be the busiest season of any clergyman's calendar and this year was definitely no exception for Dean Alan.  With three of the organists away he also had to play for a number of the services and was very grateful for the support of Father Victor.

The Friday morning congregation is possibly the largest Anglican congregation of the week, and being the Christmas Eve (Christingle) service the Cathedral was full, attended by not only members of the usual congregation, but by many who only attend occasionally.

At 9.30 am before the 11.00am Christmas Day service in the Cathedral for which again there was a very large congregation, Dean Alan led a service in the Awali church.  At this service the Awali Anglican communion joined with the Awali Interdenominational Church.  This turned out to be a wonderful ecumenical service, once again with a 'packed church'.  It was a service in which new roads into the true meaning of Christian fellowship were made.  The service was a great joy to all who attended and will definitely result in more growth in the Church and better understanding between these two branches of the Lord's people in Bahrain
