When are you coming to church?
At the last Church
council meeting the issue of service times at St. Christopher's was
raised. From time to time we need to review our patterns of
life. Life in the community moves on, develops and changes.
As a church we need to keep abreast of those cultural changes.
It is unsatisfactory to persist with services at times established
many years ago which are no longer convenient to current needs.
The congregation at 6.30 pm on a Wednesday is very small.
Would a service some time on a Thursday when many people are at work
be preferable either in the morning, mid-day or evening? What about
6 pm on a Sunday? Is this still the best time for our main
Sunday service? The Bahrain Anglican News will now appear on a bi-monthly basis so this issue covers the period May/June 2004. Alan Hayday. |
Please remember to pray for persecuted
Christians - so many Christians do not have the freedom
to worship
as we do here in Bahrain.
The Barnabas Fund
based in Pewsey, UK, works to support Christian communities in
those parts of the world where they are facing poverty and
persecution.
