In Memoriam - James Tung

On Wednesday, 21st February 2007, James Tung died peacefully in the International Hospital. He had been fighting cancer for many months and he and Jeanette had been back and forth to Singapore seeking treatment.

James and Jeanette were regular members of the Sunday morning congregation and we shall miss them both now that Jeanette has returned to Singapore. We always knew when James was in the congregation as his deep voice prevailed over everyone else in the responses and prayers and he as usually a few words behind everyone else as he translated the English into his own native language and then back again into English.

Jeanette has given great support to the cathedral, not least in running the plant stall at past fetes and has helped in fund-raising events and provided flowers for mothering Sunday, etc.

We wish her and Desiree their daughter every blessing, and James we commend into the hands of Almighty God whom he served faithfully.
