On Sunday 5th February another foundation couple of the life of St Christopher’s past and present said farewell. Gloria and Derrick Rea are synonymous with so many strands of life in Bahrain. Evidence of their selfless giving are numerous in the cathedral building in needlework, memories of social events, fund raising, outward giving, the web site and the wellbeing of our computers, to name just a few things that come readily to mind. For 20+ years they have always been faithfully and reliably there, sometimes discreetly in the background, sometimes giving sacrificially of themselves in a host of different but significant ways. We thank God for their ministry among us and ask his blessing on them as they settle to retirement in rural Northern Ireland.
