HEATHER DEW
It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of
Heather Dew on Sunday, April 10th 2005 at the Swindon
Hospice in the UK. It was a privilege to have had the
opportunity to talk and pray with Heather a few days before she
died and to be able to fulfill her wish for me to participate in
her funeral at Pewsey on Friday, 15th April.
All her family and friends will know what a very special and
rare person she was. The number of expats from Bahrain,
past and present, at her funeral was testimony to the high
esteem in which she was held. Heather truly was an example
to us all of deep and implicit faith. She had the most
distressing illness for the last few months which she bore with
utmost courage and without complaint.
Her eye to detail and determination to make sure everything was
in order and in its place stayed with her to the end. She
died well.
So much could be said about her and others have written more in
this edition of TBAN. There will be a
thanksgiving/memorial service in St. Christopher's Cathedral at
4.00 pm on Tuesday 24 May when there will be the opportunity for
more people in Bahrain to give thanks for her life and gather
their own memories and give thanks to God for a very special
lady.
We assure Philip, Leila, Nadia, Xenia and Dave and all the
family of our prayers and continued support as they come to
terms with the death of a very special wife, mum and friend.
