In order to help this far flung diocese function and to overcome the danger of isolation each chaplaincy or parish is twinned with a corresponding parish in the other part of the diocese. In our case we are twinned with St. Paul’s Cathedral, Nicosia, Cyprus. We also have a twinning arrangement with a Deanery in our link Diocese of Exeter in England. Our twin link is with the deanery which covers the Anglican churches in the city of Exeter. This link was set up by the Revd John Parkinson while Provost of St Christopher’s.

Over the last few years these relationships have been allowed to slide into obscurity. My hope is that we can renew our twinning links in a realistic and mutually beneficial way. If any of our Bahrain readers would like to help forge and maintain these links then please let me know. We look forward to hearing from both our twinning links in the BANN in the future.
