We remember at all times to give thanks to God and to praise Him
for the many blessings we have received from Him
.

 A Problem and a Solution
Is The Distance Between Your Knees
And The Floor....."

In our cathedral, prayers are offered daily by the clergy for all those in our community
who are suffering and especially for those on our prayer list.  We have proved many
times how effective these prayers have been.  Our Lord has listened and graciously blessed our intercessions.

Do you wonder sometimes if your prayers are doing any good?  It's so easy to be discouraged when  God doesn't seem to be listening.  But in St. Luke's Gospel chapter 18 Jesus told his disciples a parable  to show them they should not give up but should persevere.   We have His example.  He spent long hours talking to God.  It is awesome to remember that when we pray we are talking to our heavenly Father - to the Almighty, creator of all things - it draws us closer to Him and helps us to put our lives in perspective.  Jesus said Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours (St. Mark 11:24 )
